[Meet Larry]

Oh god.

The idea to start was really cliche, you need to be a lot more creative when writing a movie. I've seen just about everything in this movie already in some other feature, and I'm disappointing how oddly uneducated you seem to be in that field.
The voice actor sounds like bat man. He went way overboard trying to play that role as a cop who's had too much to take. Every time he talked it was just a reminder of how bad the movie as a whole is, because attempting at that voice for a serious plot is just sad. The voice didn't even match the character's looks.
The graphics were mediocre at best. You made larry taller than the computer as you zoomed in in his office, the blood particles were not even decent, the cloudy effects on the sun and clouds and stuff looked really filtery, which is bad in any movie because you never want to look like you spent 4 minutes making an effect in flash. The people weren't well drawn and it overall just doesn't look like you spent much time on what's important.

Now this review may look mean to you but really this is me trying to be helpful. If no one else is going to tell you that this is bad then maybe I should. It's healthy to be told that you're not good sometimes, especially when the foundation and execution of your projects are so low-key-looking.

I don't honestly see how the newgrounds staff could have possibly found this appealing enough to be on frontpage though. At least you're not as overblown as TETRIS'D otherwise it would take you a much longer time to read an authentically mean review. But good luck with your future stuff.

Meh

The humor was bleh. It's mostly the unexpected twist style comedy that I usually see out of your site, which is starting to get old. The idea itself isnt that funny.
The graphics are pretty good for your palleted stickfigure style, etc etc.

Hmmm

I can't believe you're 29 and you've been using flash for a decade. If I didn't know better I'd guess that you'd have been using it for maybe 2 or 1 and that you were about 15 and had way too much time on your hands and decided to make some little ad for fun. It looks rushed, tweened, quickly put together, and all-around not good.

Also stop using that smoke effect. It's a terrible, unnapealing effect. It doesn't blend well and you use it in every movie you do. It's annoying and it's distracting and it's bad.

I can't find much merit in this. at least 2 minutes of terror looked like you put forth some effort.

Hmmmm

There's a lot to consider here. For starters it's almost entirely just an animated version of the webcomic. I wouldn't doubt you traced or copied graphics from the whale scenes.
It looks decent for what it is
The idea's seems more appealing for a webcomic.
It's not bad at all though.

I can see why you think like you do, it's not original at all but it was never meant to be either. It's actually just something that was supposed to be a really fast fan project which I ended up working on more than I had originally intented to. A project which also achieved a lot more recognition than I expected.

However, I'll try to get better. I hope that if you get the chance to see them, you'll like my future projects better. :) (If I even make any)

Rina this isn't good. I seriously would look to compliment any good parts of this but I just can't find anything. the jokes are just references. The taste here is terrible. It tastes like a poorly written flash animation. The animation was decent. sloppy, but whatever, the quality of the animation outweighed the writing by a metric ton, and that isn't saying much at all.

Whoever doesn't find this funny had no taste. No taste at all. None.

Wow.

I think I know why there's so many 5s going out to this animation.
It's 3.5 out of 5 in animation.
It's 1.5 out of 5 in writing.
Some people just add it up and think it's 5. :P
Seriously though, it's not amazing or anything but it's not bad. I wouldn't say it's as good as 4.38. Things could have been more fluent and a bit less wobbly.
